Welcome to Kardia Learning Center
Kardia Learning Center
(KLC) is a weekly program designed for home educated students from Preschool
age through 12th grade.
KLC currently meets on Thursdays from
September through May from approximately 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. We have
participation from approximately 30 families with student participation ranging from 70 to 80.
The learning center, which has been in existence since 1997, meets in Mohnton, PA in
Southwestern Berks County - just minutes from the Lancaster County line.
Kardia in Greek means "the heart." We labor together to
mentor our children's hearts and minds. Although we are not from one particular
denomination, we all adhere to the Bible's guidelines for unity, service,
responsibility and problem resolution. We expect that God's Word, prayer and
good sense will govern all we do together to educate our children and support
one another.
We consider ourselves a ministry to our children, one
another and to the community at large, as we aim to produce fine young men and
women, who are able to contribute broadly to our society. Kardia is steered by a
Parent Advisory Committee which makes long term planning decisions, sets
policies, and addresses
the concerns of the parents and students at large.
