Science - 1st through 6th Grades

Four-Year Rotation
Kardia's study rotation repeats after year four, allowing the student to study each time period at various points in their academic development. Also, this arrangement eases the parents' difficult task of teaching multiple grade levels in the home simultaneously.

There are two 15-week units per year:

Year 1 (2007-2008)

Astronomy, Geology

Year 2 (2008-2009)

Oceanography, Weather & Meteorology

Year 3 (2009-2010)

Human Anatomy, Botany

Year 4 (2006-2007)

Animal Kingdom, Physical Science

Science - Middle and High School Age

Apologia Science is used for our 7th through 12th grade classes. We allow students some flexibility to take the courses they need, providing the course can be scheduled.

• General Science - 7th or 8th grade

• Physical Science - 8th or 9th grade

• Biology or Marine Biology - 9th or 10th grade

• Chemistry - 10th or 11th grade

• Physics - 11th or 12th grade

Other Classes

Kardia Learning Center also offers a number of other courses to round out its curriculum. Classes are made available based on anticipated class size. They include:

• Writing/Rhetoric for Elementary, Middle School and High School age students

• Middle School - Latin (3 years - required)

• Logic - High School age students

• Latin (2 years, elective) - High School age students

• 9th through 12th grades - Christian World View

• 9th - 12th grades - Art - Independent Study

• 9th - 12th grades - Drama

• U.S. Constitution and Economics (Elective) - High School age students
